  1. I had both my E-Type Jaguar and my TR3A painted by Family Auto Body. The E-Type got the full treatment, stripped to bare metal, repaired and painted. The TR just needed some prep work and a respray. In both cases they used a 2-stage (base and clear). Joey & Brian and the whole crew were great to work with and are really dedicated to doing a good job for you.

  2. Discount Tire on North Oracle near Magee did a really careful job balancing my TR3 steel wheels. These wheels are centered with the lugs, not the center hub. Discount Tire was aware of this and the staff took the time to dig up the correct adapter to make this happen (it looked like it had never been used).

    • Read your entry. Just bought wide white walls 6/21. Discount got rid of their lug centric adaptors, at least here in Tucson. I hear Calif. is still on

  3. North American Powder Coating on West Grant did a set of Triumph wheels for me in the original Spa White – beautiful work. They stripped the wheels (sand blasted) and powder coated for the reasonable sum of $50 per wheel. Work took 3 weeks from drop-off to pick-up.

  4. I had Precision Auto Body install the new rear wing and other rear end sheet metal. Looks like the day it left the factory. Next week Troy will weld on the new slam panel on the 69 B.

  5. Back in November 2010, I had bought a pair of rebuilt rear shocks from Peter & Jane at World Wide Auto in Madison WI. Fast forward to December 2018: I was not sure if the right rear shock was bad – even after I removed it. But after replacing it with another rebuilt shock from World Wide Auto Parts – my 1979 MGB is quiet when I go over bumps. The rattle sound coming from the rear end is now gone. The rear end ride is much smoother now too.

Peter & Jane at World Wide Auto guarantee their shocks – even after 8-years! I received a full refund for the replacement shock when I returned the core shock!! If you need shocks for your British car – I would highly recommend World Wide Auto Parts. Check them out at their website:

  6. My Sunbeam Tiger had headlight problem and I decided to take it to Hotrods Garage, Inc. (Hotrods Old Vail) I met Adam the service manager who diagnosed the problem and repaired it while I had lunch upstairs in the restaurant. My lunch was more expensive than the repair. What a nice shop, they had just completed a restoration of an Austin Healey.

  7. After my Sunbeam was shipped from Florida to Arizona I found a small dent in the front fender. I was able to find a MOBILE dent repair service to come to my home and make a paint free dent removal. The person is Andy Kube, Like New Mobile Dent Repair 520-891-9000, Andy said he was unaware of our club and worked with several other clubs inTucson.

  8. Looking for a well used tire so I can push my 1976 spitfire in and out of my garage to work on it. Can’t seem to find one in tucson. It can be bald, as long as it holds air. Will be purchasing new ones at a later date. I appreciate any help you could provide.
